MPhil in Conservation Leadership

Programme Description:

This course is designed for graduates with three to five years of relevant experience in biodiversity conservation, who have a specific knowledge of conservation, public policy, business strategy or the voluntary sector anywhere in the world. The unique features of this course are its delivery by a partnership between several university departments and conservation organizations based around Cambridge who form the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, and its engagement with management and leadership. The course will train students to address the challenges of biodiversity conservation in an integrated and interdisciplinary manner, by focusing on an understanding of the root causes of ecosystem change and biodiversity loss. The course will seek to develop leadership potential by promoting students capacity to understand the links among drivers of biodiversity loss and to enable students to think creatively about conservation solutions across organisational, political boundaries and economic sectors.

Imperial College London

MSc Hydrology and Business Management

Programme Description:

Hydrology is concerned with assessment of the natural distribution of water in time and space, and with evaluating the impact of manmade changes on the distribution and quality of this water. Applied hydrology has been traditionally concerned with floods and water resources. However, hydrologists are focusing increasingly on the problems of pollutant transport in surface water, soils and groundwaters, and wider issues such as the effects of land use and climate change. Hydrology is strongly multidisciplinary, and the course includes a basic treatment of relevant physical and life sciences, mathematical sciences, and systems analysis. All of our MSc courses are career-orientated and cover both theoretical background and practical design considerations. Lectures are given mainly by full-time staff but important contributions are made by visiting professors and guest lecturers who are eminent industrialists.

Type:MSc(Full-Time) Tuition:£27,900
Duration:12 Months Start Month: October
Modules Include:
